This is a user-based and user-controlled system that allows registered users to rate other
registered users on their A2ZHorseMart transaction experience. These ratings can be used by
other A2ZHorseMart users to determine who they want to do business with.
The system is designed to accommodate response to ratings, so the users themselves can
resolve disputes. Because of this we STRONGLY encourage you to reach full resolution on
all disputes BEFORE posting your rating of a user as all ratings are final. Use your
best judgement and rate others carefully and with consideration.

What do the user ratings mean?
Next to the user's name will be a set of stars and a number in parentheses.
The number of stars (from zero to five) is based on their average rating. Zero or one star is considered
below average or poor, four or five stars are above average to exceptional. If the user has not been rated
"not rated" will appear as their official rating. As you get more
positive ratings, star colors will change from red through gold. The number in parentheses
is the total number of ratings the user has received. This separates
those who get a few top ratings from those who sell frequently and get LOTS of
great ratings. The rating and the number of times the user has been rated will
be displayed with every ad they place. If you click on a user's name it will take you to
a page that will list each of their ratings individually, along with the person who rated
them and any comments they left.
How do I get to rate a user?
You are only allowed to rate other users after you have replied to an ad they have placed through the A2ZHorseMart
system (by clicking on the "Respond to this ad" button while you are LOGGED IN), or if you are a seller and someone has
responded to your ad while they are LOGGED IN.
ONLY REGISTERED USERS MAY RATE OTHER REGISTERED USERS, AND YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN TO DO SO! This is designed to prevent abuse of
the ratings system. When you respond to an ad both you and the person you are responding to get the ability to rate each other
ONCE for this transaction. You will not get to rate them multiple times when responding to the same
ad more than once. If you do not use this rating ability within one month of the initial response it will be
removed. You will get another chance to rate them if you respond to another one of their ads in the
future.
How do I rate a user I have replied to or received a response from?
There are two ways to use the rating ability you received:
1) Go to the classified ad you responded to (if the ad is more than a week old you will have to search the
Archives). In the text of the ad you will see the notification:

2) Go to the user's rating info page. A user's info page can be accessed by clicking on their name in a classified
ad or on the classified listings page, or by going to the User Info page and doing a
search for their name. If you have responded to this user you will see the message:
You have had contact
with this user and can rate them
along with a button to rate this user for each of the their ads that you have responded to.
Can I rate a user I did not do business with?
Yes, however, since A2ZHorseMart is not involved in the actual transaction in any way, we can not tell who actually completed
transactions with each other, but we ask that you do not rate a user you did not actually
purchase from/sell to. This system is designed to be helpful to A2ZHorseMart users. Abusing it by "flaming" or
otherwise seeking to harm the reputation of another user
hurts the A2ZHorseMart community as a whole and may result in you being banned from using the A2ZHorseMart system.
Can I change a rating I have placed?
NO. Once you place your rating it is final and can not be changed. Because of this you should wait
until AFTER the transaction is complete (both parties have their money/item) and you have a solid
opinion of the other user before you rate them. Only rate a user if you feel comfortable having your
name associated with your comments - remember, that person can also rate you. Once again, this system is designed to
be helpful to A2ZHorseMart users. Abusing it by "flaming" or otherwise seeking to harm the reputation of another user
hurts the A2ZHorseMart community as a whole and may result in you being banned from using the A2ZHorseMart system.
I don't agree with a rating someone gave me. Will you change it?
A2ZHorseMart will not get involved in personal disputes on the rating system except under
extraordinary circumstances. Please try and resolve any disputes yourself and do not use the
rating system as a means to "flame" other users. If you misuse the rating system we may inactivate your account.
